M. Shea is an Intern Architect, writer, and illustrator based in Toronto, Canada. She was born in Northern Canada, grew up in the mountains of Jasper National Park, and consequently has always had a taste for adventure.
She holds a professional Masters Degree in Architecture, from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture, and an Honours B.A.S. from the same school, as well as a B.A. in literature. She has four years of experience as an architectural designer, and two years of experience as an illustrator and writer. She has been partner at a small design firm, written a monthly design column at a newspaper, renovated homes and built cottages, worked for architects in several countries, and done public sculpture work, as well as built her portfolio as an illustrator.
She has done work in Italy, France, Canada and Russia, and travelled through Tunisia, the Ionian and Aegean Seas, Bolivia, Sweden, and Patagonia. She now splits her time happily between Toronto, Canada and the Mountain Parks.
